This Polarie photography mount accessory allows fine adjustment of the polar elevation and the north alignment. The more accurately the Polarie is align to the Pole Star, the longer the exposure time can you choose.
The fine adjustment is situated simply between the Polarie and the tripod. You can then exactly align the Polarie both in azimuth, as well as in altitude. In order to get the best performance from this accessory you should also use the Vixen Poolzoeker Polarie polar finder scope, as as shown in the example on the right.
The fine adjustment can be made for three zones: first you roughly select the latitude range for where you are and set this with the hexagon wrench (latitude 0� to 30�, 30� to 60� or 60� to 85�). The fine adjustment can then be made over a range of +/- 15� with 5.7� per rotation of the screw.
