This budget eyepiece is ideal for beginners who are looking for a short focal length for high magnifications: craters and other details on the lunar surface, structures on the planets and the phases of Venus. Also for the separation of binary stars such a short focal length is required.
Do not be fooled by the low price. The eyepiece is of high quality: The optical surfaces are multi-coated, the lens edges are blackened, the barrel has a thread for filters.
The small number of lens elements makes this eyepiece also very suitable for the observation of the sun with a suitable solar telescope, or sun filter.
